A weekend in North Wales - CTA Llandudno 2023

In late May, Shaun, Sarah and Richard (and our team mascot, Dillon the Bear!) headed off to meet suppliers and customers at the CTA Spring Networking event in Llandudno.

It was an amazing weekend, with a background of blue skies from beginning to end, which certainly helped showcase some of the highlights of Llandudno, Snowdonia and Anglessey.

The hidden gardens of Plas Cadnant looked stunning in the sunshine where we enjoyed lunch, a whistle stop tour from the head gardener - and some skillful driving from our Alpine Travel coach driver! This was following by a visit to the National Slate Museum and a demonstration of techniques used throughout the ages before a scenic drive through the Llanberris Pass and Bets-y-Coed. Last, but not least we returned to Llandudno for a tour and tasting at the Penderyn Distillery.

A quick change back at the Imperial Hotel, our base for the weekend, and it was time for reception drinks and a networking dinner - a great opportunity to catch up with fellow CTA members from across the UK. The live band provided a lovely soundtrack to our meal and tempted a few onto the dance floor later on!

Monday morning heralded the CTA AGM where Shaun's appointment to the board was announced followed by an informal workshop event for buyers and sellers to trade details and ideas and discuss opportunities for the coming year. The morning was rounded off by a lovely lunch in the hotel.

Dillon the Bear

But the trip didn't end there! Alpine Travel kindly provided attendees with a complimentary ticket to the hop on/hop off sightseeing tours from Llandudno. Richard and Sarah took advantage of this and treated Dillon the Bear (our team mascott) to a trip around the highlights of  Llandudno and Conwy. You can see more of Dillon's adventures on our social pages!

The next CTA meeting is in the diary for 23rd July staying at Double Tree Hilton Elstree. We look forward to meeting you there
