- A City Break in Liverpool
Originally the Royal Insurance Building, the Grade II building on the corner of North John Street is now home to Aloft Liverpool Hotel. Its city centre location makes it ideal for a short break in Liverpool. In early February, Kim, Elise and Kate from the office headed to Liverpool for the weekend to celebrate Kim’s engagement and enjoyed the hospitality of the Aloft first hand. Here’s what they had to say . . . .
“I loved our stay at the loft Liverpool last weekend,’’ said Kim.
‘‘The hotel’s beautiful décor created a welcoming atmosphere as soon as we walked through the door. We were greeted by reception staff who were friendly and accommodating. They showed us to the bar for a complimentary drink whilst we waited for one of the rooms to become available.’’
‘‘The bar had a relaxing atmosphere, with a great selection of drinks, a pool table and table football to be enjoyed,’’ added Elise.
The praise continued once the girls reached their rooms.
‘‘Our rooms were immaculately clean with everything you could need included – a fridge, ironing board, tea/coffee making facilities - though we were treated to an upgrade!’’
‘‘The rooms were modern and spacious with comfortable beds,’’ they added.
Kate, thinking about dealing with future room requests, was quick to check out the bathroom . . .
‘‘The room had a walk-in shower with no step to get in – which is ideal for our clients who often have customers wanting a walk-in shower.‘‘
It’s worth noting that the hotel has a few steps at the entrance of the building, but there was lift access to all rooms once inside.
Breakfast on Sunday morning was self-service and proved to be a big hit with all three girls . . .
‘‘There were many options to choose from - full English, fruits, pastries, cereal, cheeses and cold meats. Plus, you could request freshly cooked items such as fried/poached eggs, and porridge.’’ they explained.
I would highly recommend anyone staying in the Aloft on one of our tours to try the pancakes from the newly installed machine!! They were certainly my favourite!’’ said Elise
‘‘Breakfast offered more then ample choices,’’ said Kim. ‘‘I loved the poached eggs!’’
‘‘The hotel location was perfect, allowing easy access to nearby bars and restaurants,’’ Kim continued. ‘‘I would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in the centre of Liverpool.”
Elise was also enthusiastic about their stay. ‘‘We were blown away by the friendly and helpful service from arrival to departure. A huge thank you to the staff at The Aloft for our incredible experience.’’
